I’m on the avotoast trend. Since I just started, also because I had 15 minutes to make breakfast and get ready so I could look human at work, I didn’t do anything special to it. But seriously though the best thing I’ve had.
- 1 egg
- 1/2 avocado
- French bread
- 1 tspn butter
- 1/2 tspn sea salt
- Pinch of chilli flakes
Cut your avaocado into thin lengthwise slices, I only needed half. Add a tspn of butter to a fry pan on medium heat. Cut a slice of french bread and toast in the buttered fry pan for about 2 minutes each side.
Heat 1 cup of water in a saucepan on medium high heat. Crack your egg into a bowl and then slowly add your egg into the boiling water. Let the egg poach for about 2-3 minutes till the egg turns white but the yolk should still be a little runny. Remove your egg from the saucepan into a bowl or plate once it’s cooked through.
Assemble your avotoast by adding your avocado to your french bread and then egg on top. Serve with chilli flakes, sea salt and devour!
