I’m from New Orleans ya’ll but couple days back walking down any street in Chicago downtown reminded me of bourbon street. Not to mention Harrod’s Fried Chicken smells heavenly whenever I pass by one of their food trucks. So of course I happen to take a day off from work because I’m sick and instead of feeling absolutely helpless, which I was, I made some fried chicken using this recipe. And I had to make 2 batches cause the first one ended up being too salty.
Modifications I made to the recipe above (well on the second batch……)
- In the house seasoning use 1/4 cup of salt, 1 cup makes the chicken too salty
- I ran out of hot sauce, so I used a tablespoon of sriracha
